New Bus Route for Penketh High Launched in Time for School
Network Warrington will be introducing buses to and from Penketh High School every 30 minutes starting from September.
Services 14 and 15 are adapting their routes in time for the new academic year to ensure that students can catch the bus directly to Penketh High.
These route changes also apply to evening and weekend services to ensure that students who take part in extra-curricular activities are also covered.
Operations Director at Network Warrington, David Blainey, said: “By slightly altering the bus routes to Penketh High we are continuing to serve our current passengers, as well as expanding our service to support students to travel around the borough without having to rely on the ‘Mum and Dad taxi service’”.
“We’re committed to offering high quality and affordable travel to the people of Warrington and we’re pleased that our discounted student Touch & Go cards are available for an annual fee which entitles them to unlimited travel on any day, at any time”.
“We are hopeful that the student Touch & Go cards, alongside the route changes to Penketh High, make for a winning combination that will save both time and money for many of Warrington’s young people and their families”.
