On The Bus

We offer a range of tickets on the bus whether you are traveling alone or as a group.

Singles

Standard single tickets can be purchased from the driver at any time for any journey on one bus, with child singles also available at reduced rates.

Adult prices range from £1.60 to £4.20 for longer journeys.

Children aged between 5 and 15 travel at half the adult fare. The driver may ask for proof of age if a child looks older than 15 years old, click here for more information about providing proof of age.

Day Returns

Day Returns are available from the driver for most journeys and are valid for one return journey on the day of issue.

Adult prices range from £3.00 to £5.90. Children aged between 5 and 15 and under travel at half the adult fare.

Adult Day Rover

Adult Day Rover tickets are bought on the bus and are valid for unlimited travel on the network on the day of issue. Fares are as follows:

Adult Day Rover £5.95
Adult Day Rover Plus One Child* £7.50
Adult Day Rover Plus 2 Children* £8.50


*Children must be aged between 5 and 15

These tickets are bought on the bus and are non-transferable. 

Family Day Rover (For 2 Adults & 2 Children)

Great value for two adults and two children (aged between 5 and 15) travelling together. This ticket is just £12.00, offering a £5.90 saving compared to purchasing separate tickets for each family member.

These tickets can be bought on the bus and are valid for unlimited travel across the network on the day of issue, except before 09:00 Monday to Friday.

Child Day Rover 

These tickets cost £3.00 and are bought on the bus.

They are valid for unlimited travel on the network on the day of issue for one child. 

Day Rover tickets are non-transferable. 

If the driver believes that a child may be over 15 they will ask for proof of age, if this cannot be supplied children may purchase adult tickets. 

Senior Citizen/Disabled Day Rover

These tickets are are bought on the bus and are valid for unlimited travel on the network on the day of issue. Fares are as follows:

Senior Citizen/ Disabled Day Rover £4.80
Senior Citizen/ Disabled Day Rover Plus One Child* £6.50
Senior Citizen/ Disabled Day Rover Plus 2 Children* £7.50


*Children must be aged between 5 and 15

Senior Citizen Day Rovers can be issued to passengers presenting suitable proof of age (e.g. any concessionary bus pass/permit, Senior Citizen Railcard, pension book etc).


Disabled Person Day Rovers can be issued to passengers presenting any valid Disabled Persons concessionary travel pass/permit.

Day Rover tickets are non-transferable.

Town Centre Fare

If you’re on a bus passing the Town Hall or Central Station and want to get to Bridge Street or Academy Way, you can change buses at the Interchange or Sankey Street without any extra charge, just show your ticket to the driver.


You can also catch a bus from Academy Way, at the back Warrington Market, to Warrington Interchange for free.

Breezer (Valid on Services 16, 20 & 21)

Regular travellers on services 16, 20 and 21 can save money with a Breezer ticket.

They give unlimited travel on services 16, 16A, 20, 20A, 21 and 21A on the day of issue and for the following six days.

Buy them on the bus, it couldn't be easier.


Priced at £11.50

Westy Way (Valid on Services 1, 2, 10, 11, 11A & 12)

Regular travellers on services 1, 2, 10, 11, 11A & 12 can save money with a Westy Way ticket.

They give unlimited travel on services 1, 2, 10, 11, 11A & 12 on the day of issue and for the following six days.

Buy them on the bus, it couldn't be easier.

System One (Greater Manchester) Day Saver

System One offers Day Savers and Bus Savers for unlimited use on any bus in Greater Manchester. Bus only (except off-peak), Bus only+One, Bus only Group Day Saver and Child Bus only tickets are available for unlimited travel, on the day of issue only.

Bus/Train, Bus/Tram, Bus/Train/Tram and off-peak Bus only Day Saver tickets are valid only from 09:30 on Monday – Friday, but any time on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays, on the day of issue only.

Weekender and Weekender +One are valid from 18:00 on Friday through to midnight on the Sunday following.

The full range of bus related Day Saver tickets are valid, and can be issued, on any service (5,19,28,28A,28E,35) operated by Network Warrington within the Greater Manchester area.

Wayfarer (Greater Manchester and surrounding areas)

Wayfarer is the day-out ticket that lets you travel wherever you want to places in Greater Manchester and neighbouring parts of Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire and the Peak District. It’s perfect for a day out with your family or friends and gives complete freedom to go where you choose using buses, trains and trams. Wayfarer lets you travel for a whole day by bus at any time and by train and tram after 9.30am weekdays and anytime Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
 
Group, adult and concession tickets are available. These tickets cannot be bought on the bus but are available from PayPoint retailers (including TfGM Travelshops) and railway stations.

My Ticket Day Ticket (Liverpool City Region: Merseyside & Halton)

This ticket is just £2.00 Child for all day travel within the Merseyside and/or Halton area(s) and is available to buy on the bus.  Click here to find out more about My Ticket.  

My Ticket is available to children aged 5 to 18 (i.e. under 19) travelling within the Merseyside and/or Halton area(s), that comprise the Liverpool City Region.

My Ticket is ONLY VALID on our Services 22/22E between Hermitage Green Lane and Earlestown/Vulcan Village and Service 24E between Penkford Lane and Earlestown.

It is NOT available for any onward travel into the Warrington, Cheshire East, Cheshire West & Chester and Greater Manchester areas.

Adult Solo Day Ticket (Liverpool City Region: Merseyside & Halton)

This ticket is just £4.70 Adult for all day travel within the Merseyside and/or Halton area(s) and is available to buy on the bus.  Click here to find out more about Adult Solo Day Tickets.

Adult Solo Day Ticket (£4.70) is available to Adults travelling within the Merseyside and/or Halton area(s), that comprise the Liverpool City Region.

Cheshire Travelcard

The Cheshire Travelcard is a top up smartcard that can be used on Network Warrington services and most Arriva, Arrowebrook, Helms (Aintree Coachline) and D&G Coaches bus services in Cheshire and parts of North East Wales. Dogs 

Dogs, on a leash, may be carried provided that they do not occupy a seat, do not cause inconvenience to other passengers and that there is sufficient room for them.

The charge is 50p per single journey.  Guide dogs and 'hearing' dogs are carried free.

Network Warrington reserve the right not to carry any dog.
